Elena, Editor, is a recent graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design, where she majored in Performing Arts. She has little patience for tourists who ask her where the Paula Deen Restaurant/the Girl Scout House/Tybee Island beach is. Prior to coming to SCAD, she spent a year and a half at a women’s college. She is originally from Michigan (Grand Rapids area), and when she is not studying, acting, making vagina themed bookmarks, or giving haunted tours of Savannah, she can be seen tweeting @ElenaGlynis. Direct your questions, praise, review requests, and guest post ideas to her email inbox: womensglib -AT- gmail -DOT- com. Elena’s post archive.

Miranda Mammen, Founder & Editor Emeritus, created Women’s Glib in January 2009 and was the Editor until January 2012. She is a born-and-bred New Yorker and studies at Stanford University. She loves cupcakes, sunshine, short stories and puns; in her free time she goes camping and eats a lot of cheese. Miranda’s post archive.

Phoebe, 17, is a senior in high school in New York City. She’s Mexican-Irish (Mexirish), coming in at about 5’2″. She aspires to reach average height, meet Stevie Wonder, and write for a feminist blog (one down, two to go!). She enjoys people, mint chocolate chip ice cream, summer, and the musical Hair. Her hobbies include acting, singing, and being an ugly, man-hating feminist. Phoebe’s post archive.

Silvia, 19, is a sophomore at Wellesley College. Her interests include knitting, reading, Indian food, and love handles. Silvia’s post archive.

Chad, 18, is a genderqueer college student at Grand Valley State University and lives in Grand Rapids, known for its conservative status in Michigan. He is an adamant blogger who loves to talk politics, religion, and most things regarding the LGBTQIA community, and is very excited to be writing for Women’s Glib! Chad enjoys sociology, psychology, and debate, and has this “strange” attraction for men. He likes to do web and graphic design in his free time, and is an internet addict when he’s not working/schooling. He also blogs at Dream of Me. Chad’s post archive.

Sarah, 18, is a native New Yorker and a freshman at Oberlin College. She’s a rabid music, film, and theater enthusiast whose goals include learning Swedish, guest starring on Mad Men, and becoming BFFs with Rachel Maddow. In her free time she can be found lurking around New York museums, attempting to master the mandolin, watching Pan’s Labyrinth for the 18,000th time, and updating her tumblr. Sarah’s post archive.

Kitti, 17, is a Hungarian teenager. If you’ve never met a member of this rather odd breed then you need to know two basic things: they can even live on flat ice and sarcasm is genetically coded in them. She looks at the world as a big playground. She likes to learn things on her own, and if there is an idiotic way to do something, she will find it. Her spirit animal is a stray dog, it’s very nice and never harmed other spirit animals. She thinks humor is almost always the best way to cope with problems. She doesn’t think this is a good platform for shameless advertising but if you like her, read her blog. Kitti’s post archive.

Adi Robertson, 22, is a recent college grad. She lives in the DC area and holds the unsettlingly vague job title of “consultant.” She likes fiction, video games, critical theory, and a good cocktail, and blogs about all these and feminism at Cyberpunks Not Dead. Adi curently covers science, technology, and consumer electronics news at The Verge  Adi’s post archive.

Katie E., 17, is a high school junior in Virginia who’s been one of those scary, loud feminists since she was 13. She reads too many books, bakes too many cookies, and knits too many hats. She is an aspiring children’s librarian. Katie is kind of a major dork and subscribes to the belief that Joss Whedon is god. Katie E.’s post archive.

Janey Tracey, 19, is a student at the University of Michigan. She loves bookstores, horror movies, dandelions, and seventeenth century poetry and she hates football, bad dreams, and the cancellation of signature hot chocolate. She wants to live in England and aspires to become a novelist. Janey’s post archive.

Nathan, 19, is studying mathematics at the University of Utah. In spite of living in the heart of Utah, a bastion of conservative Mormonism, he is an active and outspoken queer, feminist, egalitarian, anti-racist, secularist, and anarchist voice. When he’s not playing tuba, partaking in sodomy, or studying, his activism includes involvement with groups such as SlutWalk and the Prison Divestment Campaign. In addition to contributing to Women’s Glib, he blogs at Dissenting Leftist (dissentingleftist.blogspot.com), and manages the feminist Facebook page Rational people against puritanical and misogynistic “slut” shaming.

PAST CONTRIBUTORS

Ruth attends Grinnell College in Iowa (a good distance from her native land of New York, but she is dealing). She is entertaining the idea of becoming a Sociology major, perhaps with a Gender and Women’s Studies concentration, but since she goes to a liberal arts college she will probably declare around five times. Ruth enjoys social dining, napping, cuddling, singing and, of course, being associated with all of the lovely ladies (and sometimes men) who contribute to Women’s Glib! Oh yeah, she’s also particularly fond of this song. Ruth’s post archive.

~~~~~
Shira attends Wesleyan University. She gets great pleasure from whipping out BITCH magazine on the subway and then watching people’s reactions. She is obsessed with Harry Potter, baking muffins, knitting, poetry, and her baby sister’s chub. She founded her own blog on Jewish feminism, from the rib?, in December 2009. Shira’s post archive.
~~~~~

Zoe attends Brown University in Rhode Island. She will probably declare an Architecture and Literary Arts double concentration, and is a member of her school’s Sustainable Food Initiative. She also works to set up (clean, furnish, decorate) the future homes of incoming refugees through the International Institute of Rhode Island. Also she has red hair. Zoe’s post archive.

Kyla recently graduated from high school. You can find her somewhere past a secret garden and the above ground train tracks in Queens. She is a vegan and likes organizing and figuring out how to fix the world. She hates talking about herself in the third person, so don’t be a stranger! Kyla’s post archive.

Katie S. recently finished her first year of college and is taking a break to travel the world. She loves awkward dancing, ruining pictures, performance art (think John and Yoko), and making amazing birthday cards. She would love to change the world, and this blog is step one. Katie’s post archive.
